Sprecher East Neighborhood Plan
The Meadowlands neighborhood is part of the Sprecher East planning area, a thoughtfully designed section of Madison’s far east side. The Sprecher East Neighborhood Plan, adopted by the City of Madison in 2008, guides how our area grows—covering everything from housing and roads to parks and green space.
What It Covers
- Land Use: Mix of housing types, small-scale retail, and green space
- Parks & Greenways: Future park development and stormwater planning
- Transportation: Safer, more connected streets, sidewalks, and bike paths
- Sustainability: Tree preservation, smart stormwater design, and compact growth
This plan helps ensure that as our neighborhood develops, it stays livable, walkable, and community-focused.
